It has been brought to My attention that some douchebag in Ohio is selling an original Armando Huerta drawing for $1,100 on his website. The drawing is his painting of Bettie Page titled Anesthesia.

This drawing is a FAKE! How do I know?

I was there when Armando painted it.
The painting and title of the painting was My concept.
All of Armando’s paintings start out as pencil drawings and then he airbrushes over it and paints the details with a brush. The painting has been completed, as you can see here, so there is no original drawing.
The drawing he is claiming to be an original is reversed.
The signature is fake. Compare the signature on the drawing to the one on his painting Bettie Rocks.

The series of 3 Bettie Page paintings Armando completed in this time period were all concepts I created for a product line. Anesthesia, Bettie Rocks and Warhead (Bettie as a nurse, Bettie with a guitar, and Bettie in a military bikini).

Don’t worry Armando, I’ve got your back, as always. I’ve been busting thieves of his work since 2002. I know Armando’s art like the back of My hand! Who’s your only friend Armando? It’s not that hideous Vietnamese fanboy who stole My stuff, that’s for sure.
