There are a lot of new Armando Huerta fans that don’t know the backstory so it is up to Me to educate them. I’ll be spending a massive amount of time cleaning up all the mess that Armando left behind so that I can present his art to the world in a professional manner, i.e. the same way I did back before things got out of hand. This will include re-publishing his work at a very high quality, something that’s never been done before. I will also continue to expose all the money-hungry thieves who are stealing Armando’s art and making it look cheap. This includes all previous amateur publishers with no art/graphic design experience who made Armando’s books look like a pest control brochure.
It’s been 21 years since I first exposed Ricky Carralero for stealing Armando’s art, and believe it or not, he’s still doing it! You would think that he would have learned his lesson the first time but no, he’s still at it. Here’s a painting he stole from Armando and edited to use on the cover of his Double Impact comic book (limited GOLD edition). How embarrassing.
Speaking of pest control brochures, here’s a book published by Peter Schiffer, a guy who believes he manages Armando Huerta’s art. I asked him to send Me the scan for “45 Days Without Paris” and he refused. Instead, he told Me that he doesn’t know who I am and asked Me to prove that I am the owner of Armando’s estate.
He said, “I was the one that first saw his work on the website Sticker Chick and recommended that he be contacted for inclusion in a future project.”
Er, I was the owner of Sticker Chick. 🙄 In a following email he said, “May we ask if you already have a publisher for book? If not, are you looking for one? We’d be interested in perhaps working with you.”
If they don’t know who I am then why do they want to work with Me? I didn’t respond because I don’t want Armando’s art to be published in a book that fails to meet My extremely high standards. Their graphic design is subpar and they didn’t even spell the name of Armando’s painting, “Tripomatic Fairytales” correctly in their book The Contemporary Illustrated Pin-Up.
